It depends which phone you are using.

Galexy S4:-pressing Home Home Key key + the Power/Lock key simultaneously.

HTC:-pressing Power + Volume Down buttons simultaneously.

Most of the smart phones.....press n hold.....Power + Volume Down (android 4.0 & above) Home + Power button ( 2 .3 to 4.0)
